MTC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We've built our reputation on dealing fairly with our customers. Here are the terms and conditions of our warranty. All terms and conditions mentioned here are in addition to your statutory rights.

Your new rifle scope is sold with a Limited Lifetime Warranty which is legally restricted to 10 years in Europe. This warranty  is limited to and only covers the person who originally purchased the item and is not transferable to a second party. The Warranty covers any defects found in the manufacturing material or workmanship and only when the item has been used correctly and has not been tampered with, serviced or taken apart by any person other than a representative of MTC Optics. The Warranty does not of course cover failure from fair wear and tear, neither does it cover faults caused by bad mounting or crimp damage due to over-tightening of mounts. Like all mechanical devices, some play may develop in moving parts such as Parallax Adjustment, and this is not considered a warranty issue.

The Lifetime Warranty is a newly applied warranty and therefore only applies to scopes purchased from 1st January 2011 onwards. The original 3 year warranty will apply to all other rifle scopes purchased before this date for which a dated receipt or registration from the original purchaser is produced.

Please be aware that no guarantee work can be undertaken if you cannot supply MTC Optics or their representative with a dated proof of purchase.

If a rifle scope fails in any way, it is to be returned either to the place of purchase or directly to MTC Optics at the address on our Contact Us page. An original dated receipt of purchase must be sent along with the item and also details of your name, address, telephone number and a note of the problem found. If you do not have dated proof of purchase we cannot give any guarantee on your purchase.

This warranty statement is because we have to have a benchmark. This is the minimum we will provide, we will always aim do our very best to get you back up and running as soon as we can with minimum inconvenience.

Arbitration procedure:

Where a customer declares a fault with a scope but MTC test and find no fault, then we will refer the customer to an independent tester who will test and verify the scope as either good or faulty.  There is a cost for this service and if the scope is proven not be faulty then the customer will be liable for the cost of the test and also any shipping costs incurred (on average £25 per test + shipping at cost).  If the scope is found to be faulty MTC will do the following:
